On Remembrance Sunday, the day we especially remember the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the two World Wars and in subsequent conflicts, join us to explore Southampton’s vital 1939-1945 wartime role – as a military port and home to the iconic Spitfire aeroplane. Learn about the lives of the people of the city as they lived through the Blitz. The city walk will include visits to some of the medieval vaults which served as air raid shelters.
